Little wooden box with stained glass

I have had this little box for years, but I could decide what to do with it.

I stained it brown, but did not like it, so then I painted it  with Gesso.

to paint it I put some bright color (green, blue) down then blended out into white paint.

Next I took some strips of stained glass I had left from some glass boxes I  made, and cut them with a glass cutter to fit in the indentations in the box.

Using Amazing Goop I glued the glass to the box, fitting it into the indentations.

I finished it off with a beaded wire I tied into a bow. If you don't have glass strips around you can use beads. The beads will stay in the indentations long enough for the glue to dry.
